How to read our content
We publish in the public interest, following our editorial standards. Every key fact is labelled as a public record, an allegation, a rule or an official finding. An allegation is an account given to us by a victim or witness and supported by evidence we have examined. It is not a finding that anyone is guilty of a crime.
Nothing on this site is legal or immigration advice. For advice about your own situation, speak to a solicitor or an adviser regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority.

We correct inaccuracies promptly and openly. We do not remove accurate, public-interest reporting on request, and we never accept payment to publish, change or remove content.
