Report a scam

Report a scam to us

Were you offered a Certificate of Sponsorship, a UK job or a visa for money, and scammed? Tell us what happened. You can report anonymously, and we never publish your name without your written agreement.

Who are you reporting?
What happened?

Write as much or as little as you like. Dates and names help.

Evidence you have

Just tick what you have. Do not upload anything here. If we take your case forward, we will arrange a safe way to share it.

Your details (optional)

You can report anonymously. Leaving a way to reach you lets us ask questions and keep you updated.

We never ask for money or bank details, and we never publish your name without your written agreement.

Keep yourself safe

  • Do not confront the people involved or warn them you are reporting them.
  • Do not delete chats or messages, even if they upset you.
  • We never ask for money or bank details. Anyone offering to recover your money for a fee is running another scam, even if they use our name.

Report to the authorities too

Telling us helps warn others, but only the police and regulators can investigate and act. Where to report, and how to try to get your money back →

Questions people ask

Is it illegal to pay for a Certificate of Sponsorship?

A licensed sponsor must pay its own sponsorship costs. Since 9 April 2025 the Home Office will normally revoke the licence of a sponsor that makes a worker pay for a Certificate of Sponsorship. If someone asked you to pay for one, that is a serious warning sign.

Will my report be anonymous?

Yes. You can report without giving your name or any contact details. We never publish your name or anything that identifies you without your written agreement.

Do I need evidence to report?

No. Tell us what you can remember. If you do have screenshots, receipts or documents, just tick the boxes. Do not upload anything here. If we take the case forward we will arrange a safe way to share it.

I already paid. Can I get my money back?

Maybe. Report it to your bank straight away and ask about reimbursement, and report it to the police. Our help page explains the steps and the time limits.

What happens after I send a report?

If you left contact details we reply to confirm we have it and may ask questions. We check what you tell us against public records. If we plan to publish, we tell you first and agree how you are described, and you can always say no.

Will you tell the person I reported them?

We never reveal who reported anyone. Before we publish an allegation we give the people named a chance to respond, but we never tell them your identity.
